I am finding that the last month has been dead wedding planning-wise. Right when we got engaged I researched for hours upon hours on the Internet, finding all the inspiration I needed, venues, etc. All I could think about was WEDDING!
But in that first month of planning, we got a lot of things figured out, put a deposit on our venue, as well as our photographer, and we already got our engagement pictures. We’re not doing flowers; we’re not doing a DJ. One of my aunts is baking for us. I haven’t felt rushed to do much else right now (hello, we have 8 months!).
I’m curious to know if you all have felt yourself in a wedding “lull” while planning? I feel sort of lame, mostly because whenever I am catching up with a friend or family, they ask me what’s new and I literally say, “umm, nothing…”! It’s not that I am not SUPER EXCITED – I totally am, our wedding will be so much fun and I have been waiting forever to marry Chris! So, I don’t know…you tell me, what can I do to pump myself back up?
PS, I have this week off work and I am starting to make our save-the-dates, maybe that will get me out of the funk?

I feel that! We got a photographer, booked the church, and a venue. And now it seems like there’s nothing left to do for the next couple of months…
I’m looking at dresses online, but don’t want to try anything on in case I do like something as I want to drop a few pounds before the wedding (and I likely will, seeing all the marathon training ahead of me).
I signed up for a bridal expo this weekend just to get me back on the swing of things…
Next time I’m in town I am going to catapult you out of your lull!
A lull is always better than feeling like you’re so busy that you’re going to explode right!?
I’m sure things will pick up.
I totally feel you in this! I’m in a lull right now, too, except I need to be making decisions and figuring out more things, planning-wise.
I hope I can shake out of it so we can have a photographer nailed down soon, as well as a DJ for the reception…
