Alright, now to me and my love life. I met my fiance, Chris, on the Internetz in 2006 (I won’t go into details, because I promise it’s soooo awesome you would just be overwhelmed with the awesomeness, /sarcasm). We talked for months and months, then I decided to venture to Michigan to meet Chris. A month later he moved to California and into an apartment with me. In 2008 we bought a house together. Now we have two doggies (a Husky and a Mini Aussie), two cats, and an itty bitty turtle named Fred.
Christmas Eve morning 2009, we went on a beautiful hike up in the mountains and Chris asked me to marry him. Oh my gosh I was so suprised! I mean, I had been nagging at him, “when are you going to marry me?!?!,” for over a year (isn’t that what the girl is supposed to do?), but still! Ever since then I have been doing tons and tons of research about everything and anything wedding. If you know me, I like to find the best deals on everything and if I can make it, I surely will!!!!
Just last weekend we visited a few of the best venues I had found online and was drooling over. We ended up LOVING one of them and just yesterday they officially got our deposit and we are scheduled. We are getting married on October 23rd in Springville, California. Such a beautiful place!
I plan to share with you all my wedding-planning journey, the best DIY stuff I can find and any great tips to save you money (or save your sanity!).
